Would you like to have a few hours of free time while your child plays and has fun in English and has the opportunity to socialize with other children of his age?

The Biopappamondo kindergarten in collaboration with the  British School Vicenza offers fun workshops in English held by a mother tongue teacher for children aged 15 to 36 months approximately during the afternoon hours lasting 45 minutes, followed by games and activities held by our educators, for a total duration of 2 hours. .

We believe that linguistic immersion, i.e. being constantly immersed in an environment where only the English language is spoken, is the most effective method for learning a second language. ATTENTION for this reason  the English teacher comes from  British School of Vicenza and is Mother tongue and not similar things such as "near native", "certified mother tongue", etc ..  . 

The English teacher will give life  to a space  game where only English is spoken   thus stimulating the natural predisposition  of the little ones and exploiting theirs  innate learning skills. All in respect of the child's well-being and aiming for fun as the main learning lever.

The meetings will propose to the children

• physical activities guided by  indications in English

• creative artistic projects

• dance,

• songs and video clips,

• story telling

  Here are some topics that will be addressed in the English lab: 

• physical actions

• animals

• shapes and colors in nature

• food and its origins

FAQ

Who is it for? To all children from 15 months up to three years old. The group will consist of a maximum of 8 children.

When? Once or twice a week on Wednesday or Friday, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. The English workshop with the English mother tongue teacher takes place from 4.30 pm to 5.15 pm, followed by games and activities held by our educators.

How much? 60 euros per month in promo. It includes two hours at the Biopappamondo kindergarten, one of which in the English laboratory once a week.

But basically what do we do? Children arriving in kindergarten will be welcomed by an Italian educator and an English teacher.  45 minutes will pass  playing together in an atmosphere of celebration and fun.  We will sit on the floor with the children and together with them we will sing, talk and play.  At the end of the English workshop we will have a small snack, we will be accompanied to the bathroom and we will be able to continue playing followed by the educator. 

Why do we do it? Because we believe that children can grow up with the desire to live English, considering it a normal part of their lives. We also believe that this only happens if English is an emotionally rich experience, a shared game, a set of special moments. Because after our first eight years of experience with English labs, we can testify to you that i  children in this age group learn English more easily since  this is the period when children learn to speak in their mother tongue as well and learning a second language is more natural. Furthermore, even children who do not already attend a nursery will have the opportunity to be part of a small community, to meet their peers, to live new experiences even in preparation for kindergarten.

How do we do it? Language is sharing and communication, it needs a social context, other children to play with. For this we create gods  play groups  full immersion where the mother tongue teacher never speaks Italian but communicates with them with verbalization, gestures, using images and songs.  THE  children learn English by playing games or by singing simple songs or by listening to a short story.  The child learns through natural language, that is, he does not learn a list of names (days of the week, colors, etc.) but learns a language, with the grammatical structures and expressiveness of a living language. Learn to communicate through English.

And in the meantime, where is mom? The mother can spend these two hours going shopping at the nearby supermarkets (Pam and Auchan Shopping Center) or spending two hours relaxing or continuing to work. 

And then home ....? These activities can also be repeated at home, through DVDs, CDs, books, songs and games. There are no rules on what you do at home. Even just singing songs in the car is a habit that helps a lot to live the language.  Of course you will also receive instructions on what activities to do at home, even these very simple things.

Where and when are the meetings held?  The meetings will begin in October 2016 and will be held at the Biopappamondo nursery school in Vicenza, in via Marco Polo 29. The course will be activated with a minimum of 4 students.
